HISTORY

The collaboration between TERENZI SRL and the duo made up of Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman has been consolidated for years, having passed through various cooperations that have invested the creative world of design with very heterogeneous projects. These have inspired, as protagonists, several editions of the Milan Design Week of Planium, with lunar steels and WAVE11 in brass and oxidized copper in 2022 and luminous decorative objects such as Shadow Light in 2023, which always draw inspiration from the chromatic power of oxidations; works inserted in a context of functionalism devoted to art, with their own refined aesthetics that combines the value of colors with that of shapes. As for Table Clairière, we are talking about a table that the two designers initially conceived in its design structure, to then turn to TERENZI regarding its feasibility.

FEATURES

The artists have proposed this creative and refined table in harnessed silicone threads to the Mobilier national. The first model was specially created by the Atelier de Recherche et de Création du Mobilier national.
4 mm AISI 304 BA: this is the material adopted for the laser-cut platform of Table Clairière. The table feet are made of 1 mm stainless steel and were purchased from a third party company.
The Cross of the table, that is the part that joins the platform to the structure of the same, is in cut calamine steel with a thickness of 4 mm. A champagne-colored gilding operation is performed on all the components of the table, performed with the use of gloves due to the delicacy of the operation.
The designers opted for both shiny and golden base and surfaces and black textile ornaments. The threads have been purposely knotted two by two in each hole, starting from the center to the ends of the floor. The "rain" of threads is concentrated in the central part of the table, giving it this suspended appearance, while the top is covered by a laid crystal glass plate. To obtain the braids, which therefore fall vertically from the floor downwards with a suggestive decorative function, 20 km of rubber were purchased, cut to 72 cm: each braid has 4 of these intersecting segments.
The fixing system was developed to allow a complete polishing of the structure.

THE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS

The table design is modeled in 3D and then sent in stainless steel cutting with 1.5 mm (441 stainless steel); initially we therefore started from a technical drawing.
The table frame is held together by 4 bushings, also gilded. Inside there are dowels fixed with screws which are used to keep the leg well guided.
The operation of crimping the nuts on the small pieces, which are then welded to the structure to be assembled, serves to be able to put the screws and therefore connect the structure to the legs.
