Since the end of 2018, the Quadra design project is on the market, a new patented cutter from Oxy Tools, a brand specialized in equipment for professionals working in the world of Window Films, Car Wrapping, Interior Design and Graphic Design in general. A project undertaken two years ago, designed at the end of 2017 by Mario Cipponi, during which Terenzi Srl joined the client in the co-design phase, concretized the project realizing the prototypes, the engineering and the final production.
Portable cutter and convenient to use due to a low weight - 18/20 kg - Quadra is the first product on the market for which it is possible to carry out cutting in advance, ie before the installation is completed on the building site and therefore in the design phase, without having to go to the construction site immediately. PVC, polyester and polyurethane are the materials that Quadra is able to cut, with thicknesses ranging from 30 to 250 µm. The precision of the cut is millimeter in width and centimeter in length, an exclusive factor.
From a technical point of view, the construction of Quadra took place through the use of anodized aluminum and powder-coated steel; welding, spot welding, caulking, bending and milling were the reserved processing phases. Terenzi evaluated the concept drawings and together with the client redesigned and created the products working mechanisms. The design was conceived by exploiting the technological potential of the Terenzi machine park and the experience gained in over 50 years of activity in applying it to different production processes. At the end of 2018, the first technical report and the complete and final bill of materials for the first version of Quadra were confirmed.
