In 1999 Vorwerk Folletto, a leading manufacturer of household appliances for more than 130 years, proposed to Terenzi Srl to realize an innovative accessory for a new polishing machine, in three different versions. In a single production line we will combine a process of great industrialization with perfect logistics.
After being involved by the technical department of Vorwerk Vacuum Cleaner in the process of engineering and co-design, we decided that the solution, to produce a technically complex but aesthetically pleasing accessory, is to use a mold with 5 interchangeable stations (11 total) with mechanical transfer to 2 axes.
Thanks to the method used, we could achieve, with perfect logistics and a very high quality level deriving from that of the automotive industry, three models of semi-cases, accessories that act as a housing for the brushes of the household appliance with a strongly industrialized production of 1,400,000 pcs./year.
