HISTORY

The Greenyl idea was born from the encounter between TERENZI SRL and RUDE RECORDS, a consolidated international record label and independent music publisher.
RUDE RECORDS, founded in 2000 with headquarters in Europe and worldwide distribution by SONY MUSIC via THE ORCHARD, has a catalog of over 200 publications and more than 60 artists; it stands out in the alternative rock scene and is also one of the international Power Players recognized by Billboard in 2021. Certified B Corp, it fights inequality, poverty and discrimination through the Rude Cares branch benefit.
In the summer of last year, the desire to make records and become part of a project that will go down in history took shape. In an intense period the tests were started, which in just 5 months led to a real productive Revolution of the Record.

With “maybe i will see you at the end of the world” by Sydney Sprague, the story of Greenyl begins in 2022.

FEATURES

An innovative project, protagonist of a virtuous circular process, i.e. the production of a "Vinyl" which, while maintaining its traditional iconicity, also has important added values typical of our era: low environmental impact and attention to eco-sustainability, high recyclability, but also a new and captivating aesthetic.
The traditional production of vinyl, due to the main component, PVC, has always generated high emissions of harmful gases. The old pressing plants currently in use often employ steam boilers. Traditional vinyl generates 12 times more toxic emissions than other physical music media and the expected growing demand would lead to further negative impact on the environment.
Today the demand for vinyl reaches about 360 million albums.

THE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS

Through Research and Development applied to the study of materials and production processes, the first PVC-free "Vinyl" was born. The polymer compound is Green: 100% recyclable. It is flexible, lightweight, and unlike other types of materials, it is versatile and made to be Remade; in fact, what is left over can be reused several times by remelting. It is the number one polymer that allows, for the first time, to significantly reduce the impact on the ecosystem.
Greenyl is therefore, with its "green notes", with its virtuous regenerating cycle, with its extreme aesthetic appeal - the Solid Colors, Transparent, Transparent Colors and Supernova variants are very original alongside Standard Black - a very important turning point in the way of proposing, continuing to listen, making and loving Music.
In fact, our automation, the creation of ad hoc lines, studied in every minimum detail and step, allow us to eliminate waste (every scrap is shredded and reused), to respond with extreme flexibility to requests, to significantly improve and perfect production times and therefore to have much faster turnarounds for deliveries. The labels are obtained through the etching technique (engraving is an eco-sustainable technique that does not create leftover material) or 3D printed. All production then entered into a business plan for which 75% of energy needs will be met by the use of photovoltaics.
