HISTORY

The Amber&Art project was assigned to the renowned Milanese Piuarch Architecture Studio by VPSA, the final client. Piuarch has therefore chosen our production reality Terenzi Srl in collaboration with Studio Voltaire, lighting design, by Jacopo Acciaro to give life to real lighting masterpieces. The protagonist of the scene is the amber jewel, both as an object in itself and for the aesthetic atmosphere created. To further enrich the space of the fabulous jewelery specialized in the precious fossil resin, located in the heart of St. Petersburg, Terenzi Srl has created 7 spectacular suspended lamps. The boutique is located in the historic center of St. Petersburg, inside the famous House of the merchant Antonov, built in 1824 by the Swiss architect Domenico Adamini. We are therefore in the climax of a great capital in the history of Europe. The different environments present amber objects and jewels in different types and processing techniques, returning as a whole the sum of stories that pass from the simplest processes to the most precious.

FEATURES

Transparent and reflective parallelepipeds fall from angular and circular geometric structures. Linearity and elegance for 7 lamps that revisit the idea of ancient crystal lights in a contemporary key. The past is overcome thanks to the introduction of new materials and new technologies. They are precise and rigorous in their design and the result is a refined luminescent sparkle, perfectly suited to the environment for which they are intended. The large sizes vary from 3 to 7 meters in length.
There are six rooms used for the project: Cash Desk Room, Entrance Room, two VIP Rooms and two Gallery VIP Rooms. The set-up follows a geometric process of undoubted elegance, precise in seeking its own order but also eager to leave room for the importance of colors. The luminous character of the suspended lamps contrasts with the golden setting of the brass and the dark tone of the flooring, with which there is also a strong appeal since this alternates shady and decisive colors with white ones, containing important shades of gray.

THE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS

The aluminum of the chandeliers structure, polished and then painted with semi-transparent liquid aniline lacquered paint to obtain an interesting burnished effect, combines with the transparent methacrylate of the vertical elements, which are inclined in three stages to reflect the light at its best. No joints are visible and the surfaces are perfectly smooth. The diffusion of light is made homogeneous by methacrylate screens, painted with layers of transparent, satin and opaque varnish. The screens treated in this way diffuse the light to the maximum, reducing overheating due to the light source. The 7 unique and precious chandeliers will make the jewelery entrance, gallery, VIP room and cash desk radiant.
